London is in the southeast of England. In Roman times
its name was Londinium and the
population was 45.000. However, nowadays the population is 7,5 million. The
names of two of the most important streets in London are Trafalgar Square (in
memory of the Battle of Trafalgar) and Victoria
Street (in honour of the Queen
Victoria). The inhabitants of London and Londoners also say "Cockneys"
.The famous London were Charlie Chaplin (actor) Arthur Conan Doyle (writer of
Sherlock Holmes).
